Since the recent completion of the new McD restaurant, right next door to the established BK joint, there appears to have been a shift in loyalties.
A straw poll based on cars in the car parks at 12h30 today reveals:     McD 11 - BK  4.
Where will it end?  Only time will tell.  The Mini3Pro will monitor developments.

That's funny. Everyone tries the new place for a while. Give it a year to equal out.

They are popping up everywhere,   even an independent pub locally has installed 8 of them. And I see them in use frequently.

They seem to be the only ones to survive. Lots of traditional pubs are closing.

If I only had those two to choose from, I could go for either one depending on my mood, but usually go for something else. Our town doesn't even have either of those. What we have instead is a couple of places for our national franchises and some local, independent grills. The closest we have for an international brand here is the Subway in our local shopping mall. The local ones here are mostly good, a couple have insanely big servings. One of our pizza places (if we slightly wonder outside the realm of the burgers) serves bigger pizzas in a box, of which one side measures at 80cm - and the guys have to partially fold the pizza to make it fit there! People didn't believe the size when the first images of the gigantic pizzas started to pop around the social media

We do have both Burger King and McD in Finland though, actually the first McD we got here was opened in Tampere (about 50km from where I live) in the eighties. It has been replaced by another burger restaurant now though.

One of the local pubs was being renovated,  the day before the work was to be complete the brewery closed it down,    turns out that landlord was not buy all the stock from the brewery but was going to the cash and carry for it.  She was telling people that not enough people were using the pub to make it pay.     Shes now been evicted and petition from the locals has convinced the brewery to reopen it.  Will be interesting to see how long they last if the locals dont go back to it.

Similar situation with smaller corner shops. Supermarket retail prices are often lower than wholesale prices at the Cash and Carry.

I'd rather whip up something to eat at home than eat at either of those two places.  Now, I have tried Chic-Fil-A and they tend to have really great tasting chicken strips.  I only stop there if I'm out and about and get too hungry to wait until I get back to the boat.
