Thank you. A bit of an ominous day, but it seems like that's all i'm getting lately.

Yes, It's a mix of everything

Predominantly industrial area. Extensive docks. Took me ten minutes on Google Maps to figure out the viewpoint. Close to the southern entrance to the Hugh L. Carey tunnel ?
I think that's the ventilation building, projecting into the river from Governers Island, lower left.
Looking towards the Statue of Liberty Vista viewpoint near the helipad across the river.

Very good. The Brooklyn queens expressway kind of separates the residential from the industrial area. But there are 2.75 million residents in Brooklyn.

I think it's half the fun of flight planning. I usually tour what I'm going to fly in Google earth.Di you know you could hook a controller to it and fly the area. You can import an automated flight from litchi into it too.

When I used to live there i would drive around for 30 minutes and park a block away from my house. It's no way to live.

Must have been a nightmare. Especially when bringing home the groceries.
We've always managed to find homes with a garage or off-road parking.

Yes it is. We are a product of our environment. It's what I'm used to. At least staten Island is considered the forgotten borough. It's the most rural of the 5 boroughs of NY.
