Being attacked By City Pigeons. While in Brooklyn I realized the pigeons are as aggressive as the residents. Short clip of what I could catch. The pigeons were nowhere to be found but as soon as I would go up they would swarm andthen leave when I landed. Very annoying.

Maybe you need a few 7 or 10" "fighter drones" to defend you :-)

Get yourself a shotgun license

Tough to use in the city.

I find that pigeons will flock and circle around the drone (silently) but usually keep a respectful distance. It's crows and jackdaws that are most aggressive.

We don't have as many of those in the city.

It's funny I've read articles that they are used to chase away pigeons. I wouldn't want that job after what I saw.

The pros and cons of a semi-rural lifestyle here, I expect. There quite a bit of wild-life around us.

That's the one I caught while shooting the rooftop most of them were swirling around it. There had to be about 50 or so.

We have a tree rat (squirrel) who runs along the boundary fence most mornings to steal food from the neighbour's bird feeder. Unfortunately, it's not our native red, but the invasive grey.

I used to keep the bird feeder up until the squirrels figured out how to ride it to get all the food out of it. It was a funny site watching them jump on it and spin it to spill the food.

Hopefully, the pigeons will not take out one of the drones.  I used to have a a pair of red tailed hawks that hung around my property.  They were probably a foot and a half in body length and had a 3 foot wingspan.  They were notorious for making aggressive moves towards my drones.  I once saw them pick up a full size rabbit and fly off with it.  Last time they went after my drone let's just say they are no longer a threat.

After the third time of having one of my drones attacked I finally said enough is enough.  I'm sure the squirrels and rabbits appreicate them being gone also.

Things are definitely more peaceful and safe with them gone.  On the backside of my 150+ acres I had an eagle make a nest a couple of years back.  After the hatchling was born and could fly they left and I haven't seen them sense so they must have found a better place to stay at.

They are beautiful birds for sure.  Their wing spans are so big and I love the way they can glide or make a quick dive.  Just majestic birds.

I was taking some shots of one leaving the nest. In three strokes of it's wings it was literally out of site.

No doubt.  Those are some very powerful birds.  It is said that the wingspan of an average bald eagle ranges from five and a half feet to eight feet.
