More fog at the Castle......

Completey unexpected to have more fog today,  the forecast only showed it much further north.

That light fog provides a bit of an aura to the castle.  Great shot DA.

Nice shot, slightly unreal color in the sky - the fog I presume.

thanks DT,     that fog snuck up on us,  it was forecast to be in the midlands but not here,  infact Mr B should have had it too.

Thats how we ended up later in the day,   went down to the Thames to chase some ships at high tide only to find a gale force wind blowing.

I've decided not to go out today, it's just too miserable.

Bright and breezy here,    which has allowed me to get another coat of varnish on at the MIL's,  then we have to return the rice cooker that went up in smoke this week (first use) and I was hoping to install a few fence panels later but it might be too windy for that.    I picked up some more in the week and painted them in the workshop.

Same,  not very hopeful but we have 15c by the end of the week here which is much needed.

BTW Ive just water 20 litres of jayes fluids over various hard surfaces,  so I hope it works,   I did take before photos to compare.

I was going to ask if you'd sourced any. Hope it does the trick.  It will have to be done repeatedly to keep on top of it. We did it twice a year.

I did the first application with a watering can and rose but next time I think I'll use a pressure sprayer to see if I can make it go further.

The guidance was 150ml to 5 litres of water.

After diluting about 150ml of Jeyes Fluid for every 5l of water, you can spray the moss-covered surface evenly with a pump-spray or watering can. Jeyes Fluid kills moss and makes it easier to remove once the moss is dead. If you are concerned about staining the surface you are cleaning, use a much more diluted formula.

I just talked with an old Navy buddy of mine in Montana and he is going to pack up and send me some bear and elk meat.  I've got a marinade I use on venison that I may well try on the elk meat.  Not sure what I'll do for the beat meat but it is usually gamey so I'll definitely have to whip up a good marinade for it.

He's a great guy and a really good friend.  Every once in a while we will send each other something to eat.  My last shipment to him was lobsters and some farmed salmon.  He doesn't have lobsters in Montana so he appreciated that shipment.

I could probably get away with sending some alligator meat but definitely not a live alligator.
