DJI Action 4 image quality worse than a 4 year old GoPro

I recently bought a DJI Action 4 for it's ease of use compared to my 4 year old GoPro Hero 9's clunky interface and touchscreen. The touchscreen and UI is undeniably better than the GoPro, but the video quality of the newer Action 4 footage at 4K-60fps in a sunny clear outdoor enviroment looks worse, soft and lacking detail compared side by side to my Hero 9's footage taken in a literal bog/swamp. Am I stuck returning this camera and sticking with an old GoPro or blowing money on the new GoPro? Or can I somehow get this camera up to snuff? Camera is fully updated it seems and in optimal filming condtions. GoPro hero 9 on the left side of the provided picture and DJI Action 4 on the right.

Hi, there. Could you please provide photos taken by GoPro and DJI Action 4 under the same conditions?

Sure thing. Brand new photos taken from each camera side by side at the exact same time, trying to capture as much of the same objects in the frame, both un-edited. The more saturated colors in the GoPro isn't my concern, that's just the the GoPros [left] default setting. My concern is the the comparative "mushiness" and fuzziness in the DJI action 4 [right] frame under the same resolution.   This won't let me upload larger files directly in the post/comment so I provided an address to
