Hi everyone.
I come here out of frustration.

I placed an order for the creator combo on March 6th with the largest brick and mortar retailer in the USA (Best Buy) and after showing it would ship TODAY, it reverted back to "we will let you know when it ships."

After one call to a human, and one text chat with a human, I learned the following:

1. This is entirely on the vendor as to when they are available (which i think we all knew)
2. There is no way to reliably tell you any timeframe (new to me)

and then here is the big one:

3. Best Buy (and I presume others like Amazon) actually do NOT STOCK THESE for online at all. Period.

They are merely drop shipping them from DJI.

This was curious to me, because I have read recent reddit threads where people order form DJI, and regardless of their region, they are getting theirs in 7-10 days, and I am now at 8 days with my third party retailer telling me it is perhaps another few weeks until I get mine.

I am not accusing DJI of favoring their own orders and fulfilling these first, but I am letting you know that unless like me (who pays for extended warranties that fix things in store) and you have no reason to order from a local place, you want to order from DJI, because people are not waiting as long.

I cannot think of why DJI cannot actually keep these stocked up.

This is not a Playstation or Macbook, and while I am happy its successful, it does not feel good to come up with over $700 and then have to be told "we can't tell you anything, it is not up to us, it is up to DJI."

Before I order I call to ensure item is actually in stock at their warehouse.  They never given me bad information and normally ship the next day.

Trust me, if I had a space $750 yes, I would.

I am not in a position to wait two weeks (well, "up to 2 weeks") for the refund from BB.

Between you posting that and me seeing the link, it is unavailable again.

Seems though they at least update stock properly over there.

Not too many people have a spare $750 lying around.  I checked with the Manager at my local BestBuy and he checked and said that he could special order one but it would not arrive until March 28. He said he could have a non-creator combo by March 20th.  

I normally buy direct from DJI online store but have on occasion bought DJI products directly from BestBuy but only when I can buy it  in the store.  

Truth be told, I think DJI is coming out with a 4… even on the official DJI website it says « out of stock » I mean… why else?
