Great perspective. The diamond in the centre, and yet the field is a quarter circle.  I hadn't realised that until now

Brilliant shot!    I love watching Minor League Baseball games.  They come up with some really interesting team names also.  I see where the season for the Ferry Hawks is starting against the Charleston Dirty Birds.

It was fun to go to the field and shoot from there. I was escorted in to shoot some footage for an advertiser that will be holding a charitable event in the stadium. I shot some sports pics with my handheld for the baseball team in the past, but they didn't hire me for regular work.It was nice to shoot the stadium with permission.I flew there for a little less than an hour I was the only one on the field for the shots. Always wanted to do it. I will put up a video as soon as I can edit it.

They're rivals because of the names. At least we have some low cost sports entertainment in the area.

Tickets at this stadium are $10-$15 . The food has stadium pricing but it's still a great place to take th kids.

Same prices for the Jupiter Hammerheads games.  They are part of the Florida Marlins MLB organization.  At this level these guys are doing everything they can to move up within the organization and eventually to the MLB team.

The stadium here used to be the B league. They were named the Staten Island Yankees which seemed more exciting than the FerryHawks. It seemed more exciting then. Mot enough people came to the games. I really don't understand why.

I was just looking at the attendance stats.  Seems the Staten Island stadium had the lowest average attendance in the league whereas the Long Island stadium had the highest average at almost 7 times as much.  

I still prefer Minor League games over Major League games.  They just seem to have a better atmosphere and the players are definitely more friendly and fun to watch.

Agreed. It's a fun time. I wish Staten Islanders attended the games more.

It's is great that they asked you back as that can open other opportunities for you in the future.  You might even get some good word of mouth referrals out of that also.

That should make for a really good draw.  Seems promotions, give-aways (bobble heads), pre-game concerts, all work.  Locally, they usually do a post game fireworks show.  This will be the first year they are using drones for that show vice actual fire works.

If they don't have a lot of operating funds then they are using what they have really well, especially in seeing how well the field appears to be maintained.  Maybe they could pick up a couple of commercially sponsored promotional nights.  One of the largest banks in this area sponsored a promo where every attendee was given a hat at the gate.  The same hat as worn by the members of the minor league team.  The local news touted how the stadium was sold out.  

On occasion they have a business person special - a bring your office to the ballpark mid-day game.  The office that brings the most employees won a mystery prize.  I was told it was a $1,000.

Those are great ideas.

They are always coming up with new ideas in order to try to fill the seats for every game.  Another popular one is Active Duty military get in for $2 and 40% off everything from the concession, except beer.
