So long as it something recognisable, such as a part of a building, or castle or monument, rather than just anonymous scenery.  Give it a try. You'll find  that a few amateur sleuths around the world will try to figure it out
Make your title something like" Where is this?" or Where am I?"  to pique their interest

Ok, thanks. i will prepare one picture to give it a try. And will post it later on today. Just need to come back home and get me own PC

One or two of the Forum regulars will try to be the first to resolve it.

I never used it - even back then.

Ticks and crosses for use in Excel used to be the most popular ones IIRC.

I have no idea. Earlier on, I attempted to guess, but I suppose I need to go the Google Lens way like the others if I want to have a chance at any of these.

The trick is to crop enough of the image off, so that Google lens can't identify it
I took pity on you with that one

Thanks for the tip, will have to try that out if I do another one later on

Hannu in Finland posted one a couple of days earlier, but he made it rather too easy.

Yeah, I have to admit that. Didn't take into account that people would use assistance from the web. Will have to try harder next time. It was my first one of this type, so lesson learnt, I guess

I got that one right but I was late to the party with it,  the place is right next door to the villas where he works.

Well, not right next door, but admittedly not that far either Just a couple of minute's drive from Point A to Point B

He didn't have to go far for that shot, did he

Depends on how you count it. Not far from where I work, but from my home, it is about 50 kilometers away. Of course, that is not the farthest distance in the world either

The trick is, to crop the image until Google Lens doesn't recognise it - that's what sets the challenge and means you have to look for other clues
Then wait for hints from the OP.

The trickiest ones to work out are top-down shots using the drone.

Always the optimist, eh? Though that is not a bad thing most if the time

(Apologies for not being on the forums much lately, I've had a rough time moving out of my old apartment and trying to settle into the new one. But i will pop by here occasionally when I have the chance.)

Hi Hannu.  Hope you get settled into your new place soon

I guess the worst is over, in the sense that I succesfully have returned the keys of the old apartment to the landlady and she gave me my rent deposit back. Just need to make some sense into the chaos of items currently taking place in my new apartment
