What settings are best for connecting a mic2 receiver to an audio mixer -- via XLR port, and using a Rode 3.5mm to XLR dongle?

I tried this last week at a meeting where having both hands free was the goal. The sound was very hollow and would have bothered those with hearing aids.
Unfortunately didn't have time before the meeting to do much testing.
Has anyone had success with this type of connection?

The DJI Mic 2 is an omni capsule. Not ideal for use via a PA system if that is what you are trying to do. It will pick up  loads of room noise and will be highly susceptible to feedback.  You'd be better off with a cardiod headset mic.

Thanks. That what I was afraid of, but had my fingers crossed it was just me with bad settings. Great timing on the answer as it will save me time and frustration trying to set it up at this morning's meeting
