Greetings friends, I'm a new dji osmo action 3 user, I still have a lot to learn and I'm trying, I'm trying. I bought a bicycle accessory kit with my action 3 camera when I bought it, but you can hear the strange sound of my camera connected to the handlebar mount on the streets of Amsterdam. Is it me, what should I do? The handlebar is incredibly rigid and sturdy, I've checked it many times and the camera fits perfectly, no problem.

Rewind the video back and forth and I think you will understand what I mean quite well. I am open to your suggestions, thank you, good forums!

Check out post #16 in the same thread. That also works (adding noise dampening yourself).

(This doesn't really work unless you have the noise dampening in the first link.)

And yes, like lutzmix said, use a neck mount.

How about this one, will it work? I also have a chest mount, I can use that too, I haven't tried it yet, I'll try that, but it looks very uncomfortable. Or is the new mount dji osmo itself worth buying?

Yes, that's a really good mount. However, it's a must to have a noise dampener on the DJI magnetic adapter! That is what actually causing the rattle. You can get a foam grip tape from Ali:
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006191126931.html

Also, if you interested in a neck mount, I would not buy the Ulanzi neck mount. It's just like the Telesin. The magnet in both cases is round and it will have a slight slack at the base. At least the Telesin does. Get the new PGYTECH mount. It's base mount is square which allows you to mount the camera vertically as well (if you want to) and it also comes with a lanyard attachment.

Do you think these neck straps are better than chest straps? Have you ever used a chest strap?
Thank you for your answers and interest, sorry for asking question after question :3

I do a lot of bike video's and I'd never use the internal mic. My setup currently is the action 3 on a chest mount (personal preference) plus Rode wireless go 2. One mic is clipped to my rucksack close to my mouth, and the other is clipped to face downwards. This gives me a great mix as I can lower the road noise, and it gives a stereo effect for passing vehicles. So much flexibility in post.

I don't have a chest strap. Before I purchased a neck mount I checked out a few videos and I ended up choosing the neck mount. I like it better because it's positioned higher than the chest strap. I personally don't like seeing the handlebar or my arms/hands in my bike videos and with the neck mount I can easily adjust to camera tilt, combined with the FOV so only the road ahead is visible. With the chest mount you almost exclusively see arms/hands/handlebar. If that's your thing, the chest mount should work.

A neck mount runs around 30 bucks (US) or less. It can be a good option to have next to a chest mount. It's also much faster to put on and take off. It doesn't take up as much space as a chest mount. It can be used as a selfie stick, or as a "tripod". Watch it from 2:50

Forgot to mention that one drawback of the neck mount could be that you might end up with a footage that is a little bit tilted, if the neck mount is not exactly centered in your neck. So I end up using HorizonBalance almost exclusively when using a neck mount. Sadly, there's no HorizonBalance (or any other) option available when making a Hyperlapse of a long bike ride. So with Hyperlapse you could end up with a tilted footage. But it's really not that bad.

I have ordered the PGYTECH neck mount (I used the Telesin one so far) because that also comes with a strap and it has a square connecting mount as opposed to a round one. Shall see how it performs.

You don't NEED to go to the expense of a Rode wireless go 2 - I used a cheap clip on lavalier type for ages, and they work really well. The advantage of the wireless kit is - less wires! but it's also easy enough to keep the cables tidy.

How about the DJI Osmo's neck grip or should I get the Telesin?

I looked at the neck mounts, and opted for the Pygtech - mainly because it came with straps in case it got a bit bouncy over tree roots.

But I'd say that I like the neck mounts. I film a lot from my bike (road or hybrid) and have been using a chest mount. It's worked well for me, but I thought I'd try the neck mount to get a slightly higher perspective with less handlebars. It's not a huge change in perspective, but it does make a difference.

The other difference is that with a chest mount angled for the road, when you get off the bike and start walking you film a lot of sky. With the neck mount you find that the camera angle doesn't change a lot. You still end up filming pretty much the same view as on the bike.

Did you know you don't have to attach the strap to the PGYTECh mount? Also, the PGYTECH mount is square so you can put in the camera 90 degrees if you wanna. No need flipping the mount. Also, the rounded mounts (like the Telesin one) have a small play inside the socket so it moves left/right a little bit. Maybe it's not too distrubing for some.
