I just purchased a ipad mini 3 wifi with iOS 8.4.1. When I tried to download the pilot app it says that it is not compatable. I purchased the mini based on the criteria on the dji website. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I too have same issue. I heard, maybe incorrectly, it was related to the high res display.

I am currently using the ipad mini and havent had an issue.  I previously tried the original iPad and was unable to download the app..

I'm on a mini 3 wifi and the app installs just fine. make sure you're installing DJI Go and not DJI Pilot.
