The other day, the clouds were really low, so I flew above the fog and found myself in a beautiful place in between the high and low clouds.
The only thing that makes me nervous about doing this is when I'm in the middle of the fog, ascending through it, I can't see anything through the camera or looking up with line of sight. But the end pics are worthwhile! Especially the 3x3 wide-angle panos.

All looks very nice but I’m not so sure we could fly at that altitude in the UK
Yes, I always suggest taking proper precautions when going to high altitudes, which is why I very rarely fly that high for longer than a minute or so..usually I’m in the 130-200ft zone when flying casually. But when you have a fleeting opportunity to capture something unique, I’d say seize it just be safe when doing so !

Brilliant and fascinating shots.
Depp, thanks for stopping by to view my photos, I really appreciate your nice comment and feedback, they make my day! I also really enjoy your works as well.
Hi Blériot53,
Thanks a lot for checking out my photos, glad you enjoyed them, and yes, you are right about minding the altitude haha.
I do emphasize flying safely and obeying regulations (I also did check AirData prior to taking off to see if there any low-flying aircrafts in the area.) but fog rarely comes around in my city..or I just wake up to late lol, but when I saw those low clouds I thought, maybe just bend the rules just this once for a minute, snap a few photos and then come back down...my drone gets wet anyway when I go through the clouds so that's another reason I don't do things like this too often.
I got inspiration from this video to do this, where someone was able to fly above the fog, and also got great results.
