Great capture DA.    That white tree really stands out against that green ground.  

Pretty impressive shot there.

It's been similar here,   frost yesterday,  shorts the day before,  and then the rain keeps dropping even though the forecast forgets to mention it.

Growing up I knew where there were loads of fruit trees around the town,  apples, pears, plums, cherries,  even where to get free strawberries from,  these days its mostly blackberries I know,  perhaps theres a lack of wild fruits these days.

Where we lived in France, there was an abundance of fruit, nuts and berries just growing wild along the lanes. A Sunday afternoon stroll could easily yield enough seasonal stuff to see you through most of the year.

You're most welcome DA.  Okay, so was that white tree a hawthorn?  I just read where the haws or fruits of the hawthorn tree are edible and in the UK they are sometimes used to make a jelly or homemade wine.

Sweet chestnut, Walnut, Hazel, Beech and Cobnuts were abundant.
More unusual fruits like Medlar, Sloe, Cherry plums, crab apple, in additions to apples and pears.
Blackberries everywhere of course.
Always something worth collecting.

Yes.  At the moment slows and hawthorn are in bloom like that,  but slows dont grow like trees they are more bush like.

With both blooming seems you should be warming up a bit.  

It is supposed to be rain free today with a high of 29C.  I sure hope the weather guessers are spot on.

We hit 18c last week but this week is cooler,   3c lows to 9c highs for the nest few days.  Just checked the forecast for today,  the hourly forecast has no rain,  but they they warn rain for next hour.  So much for painting.  

That's the grey matter of the tree.

It used to be one of mine until I was recommended a glass cleaner when I was buying a mirror in a glass shop for a project and its been great,  but harder to source,  last time I bought 6 bottles.
