The blue one is the vertical distance measured from the homepoint: Say you start at 2 m above your homepoint and then fly straight above a valley: The distance will stay at 2 m but in reality as the ground slips away you're much higher. The red one should be the one showing the real distance to the ground at your actual place but the sensors can only measure up to 10 m.
