Sounds interesting. Can you tell me when it will come out? Also, what will be the top speed? The current Avata is 60mph and the current FPV is 87mph, so I would like to see the new Avata to be over 75mph.

Comes out in April.    If you are in the UK you probably should look into Article 16 rules otherwise you would be limited to 150m away from people and property, footpaths, beaches etc  in 360 degree directions.   You'll also need a second person with you even with the new AR goggles.  

It's been for sale for quite some time: in Germany going down from 1350 Euro to 900 or so...

Ok but I'm in UK, and here there are no sales. That's what I'm waiting for. Or maybe I will get the DJI Avata 2 which supposedly comes out in April.

959 GPB for the combo with the Goggles 2 seems like a sale to me. If the combo with the old Goggles V2 cost 1350 Euros which would be around 1150 GBP it went down quite a bit: 200 plus another 200 for the newer goggles.
The Avata 1 is a good/easy start for fpv, the 2 might be better. Cheap it will never be...

You dont,   but good luck keeping VLOS on it at top speed.

You might need to put stick tape over the sensor on the goggles 3,   I see that they change what happens when you take them off.     Did you get one yet?

I'll be upgrading to that if they actually improve the camera this time.    But I fly with the sensors off as they cause me more issues than they are worth.

But that is only while flying over reflective, clear water. When regular flying around obstacles, it really helps because it tells me where the obstacle is so I can manoeuvre around it.

I use my eyes for that.  And I fly low over water most days at least when the tide is in

On all my existing drones I can only fly VLOS,   the avata is my first drone with DJI goggles.

I am only getting the FPV RC 3 after a month because I want to practise using the MC for some time.

Im finding the MC a bit weird,   it really doesn't feel natural to me,  and thats just getting things setup.  I keep loosing the buttons.

Just turn on real view in the Goggles 3. Then you can get back your position.
