Over the past month I recorded, filmed, and produced this music video in collaboration with a local artist. Filming took place over the course of a single afternoon. Thanks to the capabilities of the DJI Ronin 4D-8K I was able to produce amazing, cinematic results despite a very restrictive timeframe and was able to shoot the whole thing solo on a single battery charge. I filmed in 4K 60fps and ProRes 422, and the footage took up over 256GB prior to editing!
The song is "In Love with a Camera" by The Struts (one of my favorite rock bands), and recording the vocals for this cover song turned out to be one of the most difficult parts of the process. Getting the lip syncing right was also a challenge, as I filmed the video prior to recording the cover song. It was one of the most complicated videos to edit that I've ever worked on!
