It all depends on the reliability of the technology and its absence of interference. Apparently ultrasound turned out to be unreliable.

Once again, you don't understand how scanning works. The signal is emitted at one point, then the source is shifted by one pixel and the signal is emitted again. And so you need to scan 360 degrees and build a 3D map. Every second you need to create at least 10-20 3D cards. I have already told you that very large amounts of computing power are required. Well, and most importantly, how will you deflect the beam of an infrared source to each point on a 360-degree sphere? Lidar uses a mirror)

There is no ultrasonic sensor, I advised you to read the instructions, page 14

I’m sure that if a DJI Mavic 3 Pro was equipped with LiDAR and an M3 Max chipset, it will be able to handle it.

And BTW he didn't completely waste the drone; it was still working. It wasn't like it was damaged beyond repair, it would just take a simple repair and he could fly it again. Also, I bet at least 200 of the 19,314 people who watched the video were thinking the same thing as you, so there is no way he is going to give a Mini 4 Pro to every one of them. That would cost at least £137,800.

It's kind of a win-win situation. It's good for the YouTuber because they get views, and it's good for us because we don't have to do the same thing to see what will happen.
