Maybe this has been asked before. But I could not find it.
With my Mini 2, the drone 'remembered' the shooting mode even after turning the drone completely off. So if I had used AEB mode for photography, it started in that mode again.
From what I have seen using the Mini 3 Pro, it does not remember this.
Am I missing something here? (a setting)

this was changed in last update of the app, that drone always starts in Normal mode no matter which mode is selected on remote. In past versions the mode was remembered and drone started operating based on mode selector.

The normal mode startup was how the mini 2 worked,   they recently changed it so that the slighter C N S on the remote would honour the last setting,  so if you left it in sports mode it would turn back on in sports mode,  they back tracked the change so that it now always starts in N mode even if the switch is set to S for sports.  Nothing to do with the photo modes.

Mine for reference remembers the photo modes 99% of the time,  occasionally it will forget all the settings like Raw being enabled etc.

Weren't you asking about the camera shooting mode?
So far the answers you've received have been telling you about the Flight Mode selection not working until after you launch.
That's always been the case on the whole range of DJI Fly drones and has nothing to do with the camera which is what you asked about.

My question is about the shooting mode.
For example, on my Mini 2 and Mavic Pro the app remembered I used AEB last, so every time I switched to photo (from video), it started at AEB.
But so far, with the Mini 3 Pro, it has always defaulted to the 'single shot' mode.

I flew last night and took some AEB shots,   then this morning after swapping the battery the AEB had reverted to single shot,  so I wonder if it's removing the battery thats doing it.
