Hey everyone,
I've been working on a cool tool called DroneJourney that lets you check out the metadata on your drone media right in your browser. It's great for diving into video files with subtitles (those are the .SRT files) and your pictures to get a detailed look at your flight footage.
Now, you might be wondering, "What are .SRT files for?" Well, they're basically text files that hold all sorts of flight data like the route you flew, specific locations, and camera settings at different times during your flight. With DroneJourney, you can use these files to see your flight path play out on a video or get detailed info on your photos. It's a handy way to get more insights from your flights, giving you a clearer picture of everything from the altitude you reached to the speed you were cruising at.
I wanted to create something that gives a more comprehensive overview than just uploading an SRT file and looking at the flight path. With this app, you can drag and drop all your flight files, and it'll show you markers and paths on a map and even overlay some data on your media. It's a pretty neat way to revisit your flights and see all the nitty-gritty details.
It's totally free to use and everything's processed right in your browser, so you don't have to upload your stuff to a server or anything. No fees, no installation required. I'm just looking to share something useful with the community here. Check it out and see if it adds to your drone flying experience. Let me know what you think about it; any feedback is welcome.
