Thanks & Yes, I agree. I did get my A2 C of C and my GVC which frees me up a bit on where one can fly.

Im using the Article 16 rules myself as they less restrictive than the A2CofC but currently both are only temporary.

I'm not sure article 16 gives better freedom of flying than an A2 of C and GVC with any drone in particular a < 249g. But I'm all for learning

A2CofC gets you down to 50m of uninvolved people and property whereas Article 16 gets you to a 30m bubble including overflight as long as it's not an assembly of people.   

A2CofC of course was also transitional and was going to expire and has been extended to Jan 2026,  and of course requires re taking the exam every 5 years.

Hi, just looked up Article 16 and you're correct, it does give you that little bit more freedom.

Incidentally, I have that too, being a member of FPV-UK and having taken their test of competency. It's not very well publicised.
