Well Rome was wall to wall tourists on all 4 of my visits.

Id really hate that,  I may have to go off season to avoid it.

Two of my 4 visits were off season.  I wish you good luck in finding a time when it is not wall to wall tourists.  Early in the morning or late evening it was still packed.

Sorry, I didn't mean to knock it down but I'm not big on extreme crowds and that was some of the biggest and worst crowds I ever experienced.

I hate crowds.  Even more so since C19.    I may have to go there in the winter.

I'm told if you want to avoid the crowds, the winter months of January and February are the best time to visit Rome.

I think you need to keep Iceland near the top of your to go places.  Out of the three times I've been there I've never seen a crowd.

Well theres an exception for that too,  when the volcano erupts theres loads of people there.

Very true.  I guess I was lucky as they never erupted during any of my visits.  During my last trip I rented a 4WD vehicle and ventured out into the boonies.  Iceland has spectacular view almost everywhere.

Id love to fly over during an eruption but not do an Ian and melt the drone.

Yeah, that was most unfortunate for Ian.  However, he was not the only one that did that.

True I saw an Air2 that succumbed a similar fate although it was still flyable.

The temperature of erupting lava from an active volcano in Hawaii (Kīlauea) is about 2,100 degrees Fahrenheit or 1,150 degrees Celsius.  Enough to melt any drone that gets to close.

Oh no, a sacrificial lamb so to speak.  I donated my Mini and Mini 2 to the local high school for their advanced STEM classes.  So now I'm down to an Air  2, Air 2S, Air 3, Mini 3 Pro and the Skydo 2+.  I'm thinking to donate the Air 2 to the high school STEM class and give the Air 2S to the grandson that has the Mini 3 Pro.  That would still leave me with Air 3, Mini 3 Pro and Skydio 2+.

With the SDK support for the Air2S Id be tempted to keep it a bit longer,  but I guess you can always borrow it back.

That's a good point, especially since it doesn't look like an SDK will be issued for any future DJI consumer drones.

They say Mini 4 will get the SDK but then it will only be android.

It is sad that they gave up on SDK for iOS.  I think my next DJI drone will be the Mini 5 Pro unless something really "hybrid" comes up.

Thats my plan too,   Mini 5 or Mini 4 ultra depending on what they call it.

A good quality zoom camera would be fantastic,  I would get a lot of use out of that from a saying perspective.

At least you've got a better chance of getting a really good quality zoom than I have on getting a dual camera on the upcoming Mini 5 Pro.
