A very high tide.....

A quick flight out over the island to grab this shot, gusts were getting close to 40mph but the Mini 3 Pro was a beast and well behaved as usual.

Just walked down the hill and onto the island and did a 3 mile loop to collect 6 new caches.  Some creative hides I thought.

The same person did a 3d printed slug in glow in the dark plastic with a magnet to attach it to a sign.

Some people have great imagination in designing hides.
One I found was a bird feeder hanging in a tree, empty of nuts but disguised with a picture of them curved round the inside. It was only the fact that it was in the middle of a small copse, rather than in a garden, that made the penny drop.

Yes another smart idea.  Although Ive also seen bird feeders in random places before.

Can you even do that with these drones?  Ive seen motor overloaded messages before but only when the props had iced up.

I know of a pilot that burned out a motor on his Inspire.  Maybe it is just an isolated thing.

haha.   It's actually on the left behind the drone,   the right is marsh land thats been flooded in that shot.

Probably not.  He and his business partner kept the Inspire up in the air on jobs many times a day. I couldn't believe how many spare batteries he carried with him.

Thanks.  Sent drone up to see the difference the solar eclipse had been making,   it added about 200mm to the tide forecasts for that day and quite a lot more on the actual day,  lucky the drone was there to spot it

So very true.  Flight time of Inspire 1 vs Inspire 2 is crazy different. 15 mins boosted to 25 minutes was quite the jump.  Having the 2nd battery on the Inspire 2 was probably the difference that was needed over the Inspire 1.

Next one is in 2026 in Spain I think I saw,  so not a million miles from you.    I saw one as a young kid but I dont really remember it very well.

True. But still quite costly or time consuming to get there. So in practice that is not going to happen.
