I tried it on another drone, I even installed a strobe light.
When pigeons fly in a flock, they can still collide with a drone, nothing helps.

Wow, that was close.

I've got a way that works but may not be exactly legal in your country.  

I usually find the pigeons will silently circle the drone, but not approach it. You were rather unlucky to have such a near miss. (Or lucky, if it did miss   )

Wow, that was close.

It was too close, there was a collision, but neither the pigeon nor the drone was seriously injured, the pigeon lost a feather, the drone damaged its propeller

Yes, the drone stabilized and I landed. Pulled a piece of fluff out of the propeller)

I was once buzzed by two fighter jets, whilst flying my drone ( legally! ) in France several years ago.
I only realised it when I watched the video afterwards.  I posted the video clip of the moment when the two shadows flashed by, in the opposite direction.  I'll see if I can retrieve it.

Ha yes. Although the two that buzzed me were in pursuit mode - one about ten seconds behind the other.
I'll dig out the clip and re-post it. All you see are the two shadows flashing past on the ground.

No doubt they were at full military power when they flashed overhead.

Found it. I've clipped out the nine seconds. Blink and you'll miss 'em. Top right at the very beginning. Bottom left at the end. Shadows on the ground.
