If the inspire blows a prop for any reason, will it fly?  Has anyone had it happen?

I had a Flamewheel 550 blow a prop about 30 feet above a river at high water and I went full throttle and it didn't fly, wasn't enough time.

Just wondering if the Inspire will.

any quadcopter will just fall down - thats why in many countries you can only register them for commercial use in unpopulated! area

Octo-copter might, some of them are designed to balance themselves if they detect one or even two engines stop spinning. Maybe Spreading wings could do but with a full size DSLR it would be a bit hard. But for the Phantom and Inspire like the users above said, not a chance

Just like a helicopter once the prop goes so goes the aircraft. There is a parachute you can purchase for the inspire 1 that can assist in damage control.

Incorrect! The inspire will continue to fly - albeit for a short time in a relatively vertical trajectory.
I'd suggest that the landing may also be a little on the rough side of normal.

Sorry - just had to, you were all thinking it anyway. ;-)

Christopher,

I saw that  movie long time ago and wondered why DJI couldn't come up with something like this.
After all, it's just a matter of programming the other engines to generate more power in case one engine
stops or a prop coming of ?
Mayby the Inspire is to big for the other 3 engines to keep it in the air but for the Phantom series it should be possible.
At least a better solution than buying an expensive parachute to save your Dorne !

Thanks all.  The Flame wheel 550 was supposed to but didn't have the time.  Didn't think the inspire would but thought I would ask.

A quad can fly with only two props by spinning the entire craft.
