Will the Goggles 3 ever work with the 03 Air Units? I hope this is in the cards!

Some of the YouTube reviews said that this would come with a later firmware update.  

I feel like the great folks at DJI would at least know if it is impossible to make the new Goggles 3 work with 03 Air Unit so I'm hoping they think it's possible. I have 3 pairs of Goggles V2 and 1 each of Goggles 2 and Goggles 3 now. It's just too many Goggles to carry around! I have spent the money so all I want now is to be able to use the Goggles 3 for as many quads as I have (16 at this point). I get the business model but I think making the Goggles 3 work with 03 Air would be a great marketing choice because they are a better experience all around so I'd prefer just using them for everything now.
Good job again, DJI! You nailed it! (Now finish the job so I can wear them for all my drones!)

I really like DJI 03 Air Unit and for most of my purposes, it is an ideal product. But now that I have the Goggles 3, I'd rather not have to use two different goggles for my flights. so I will hold off on buying any more 03 Air Units until the Goggles 3 firmware is updated to include them, or 04 Air Unit comes out. But I will still be bummed if I have to hold onto my Goggles 2 when it would be better if I could sell those and buy more DJI products! Remember, when we sell our equipment used, it is usually so we can justify buying more DJI equipment! ;)

Se nouveau masque sera t il compatibilite avec le dji air unit O3 et vista .?". car actuellement j ai les Google v2 .elle sont compatibles,mais il faut reappairer le masque a chaque fois que l on change de drone fpv ...C est pas super top je trouve, au vu de la super qualité que sa nous donne... je veux m acheter l avata 2 ...je souhaite faire cet achat pour profiter des googles 3 avec mes drone fpv équiper du 03 et vista en plus de l avata 2..je croise les doigts pour une compatibilité maximal ..car vous faite du super boulot, mais si se n ai pas compatible ...ou qu il faut encore acheter un nouveau masque a la sortie du O4 ..la déception sera grande et je réfléchirai a 2 fois avant d acheter l avata 2 voir tout autre produit dji car je ne suis pas une vache a lait...

Genuinely thinking about selling it all and going back to the goggles 2.  

I talked to DJI tech support the other day and they told me they are working on making 03 camera work with three goggles as soon as they are satisfied with the performance they will release it.

GREAT news! I figured as much. As soon as they make it work, I will be giving my Goggles 2 and Avata to my adult daughter to see if I can get her addicted to FPV too!

Also, I am SO looking forward to 04 Air Unit! Keep up the good work, DJI!

Salut, Perso on l'attend tous cette compatibilité, faut juste être patient je pense, personnellement, je pensais prendre l'intégra, mais je préfère le google 3, juste le faite de partager sans fil le continu c'est déjà un plusss, qualité d'image supérieur etc. Je viens du masque V2. Allez Dji on croit en vous !!!

I`ll get my G3 next week. So my O3 drones won't wait too much for new G3 firmware ...  

So I Gave my avata 1 away to the husband of one of our employees. I bought an Avata 2, and now my O3 equiped quads (5) are laying around, gathering dust. I would be very happy with o3 support for the goggles 3. Please make it happen soon. The Avata 2 is very versatile but not the one to rule them all.

Any update on this? I want to sell my Avata 2 for something sub 250, but it is absolutely ridiculous that I have to sell my fpv controller 3 and goggles 3, downgrade and buy the fpv controller 2 and Integra / goggles 2. sort it out DJI please. It's been two months now. I'd prefer to keep the goggles 3 and controller 3.

Looks like DJI dones't care about loyal customers, how are we supposed to keep upgrading and buying the new stuff they release without backwards compatibility. What is the point of this? Don''t they understand a loyal customer is worth more than a new customer? Cmon basic marketing thinking.

I have 6x O3 air units on my numerous quads, Id love to get the new avata 2 with the new goggles and controller for the pure fact that the flight time on the avatar 2 is 3x longer than any of my FPV drones, but i can't justify spedning the money on a new setup and still have to keep my old goggles 2 just to use it with my O3 air units.

Imagine how many more goggles and controllers they would sell if they enabled backwards compatibility.

It is not even planned to have support??? This is not customer-friendly at all. I am shocked; i find this very bad. I bought DJI gear because it is all compatible. I will look for other gear.

Please know that all suggestions need to undergo evaluation and unfortunately, that takes time.  Also,  all customers can provide their suggestions and we will be more than happy to forward them to our relevant team but not everything will be approved as there may be some limitations such as technical or firmware limitations. I appreciate your understanding.

This is absolutely ridiculous. Looks like I’m going to have to sell my goggles 3 at a loss to then downgrade to the goggles 2 or integra. This is really poor DJI. Do better

that is extremely disappointing to say the least. the best goggles are not going to work with the best quads, such a shame.

What kind of impudence is that? So now you have to fly the O3 further with the old goggles???
Is it really so difficult to make the o3 compatible with the goggles 3 by means of firmware update?
Do you really always have to think about which drones you fly with or always pack everything? I would like to fly all the drones with the goggles 3!!!

I am thankful I at least discovered this before my return option ran out. I like the goggles 3 and avata 2 but no way I'm buying and keeping every incompatable goggle dji decides to make. I'd intended to install 03 air units in 5 of my current drones. In light of this information I'll gladly pass.

I would love to buy the Avata 2 combo as my first fpv, but I can't justify it until the goggles will work with other drones. Can you at least tell us if you have an 04 air coming out soon that would be compatible with goggles 3? Thank you.

We are not buying cheap toys.
Which goggle should I pick? I have mini4pro, I want to build FPV drone and have one pair of goggles compatible with both. I don’t want to buy 2, after 3 was released. So will it support o3 air unit or will we get a o4 unit?

I agree with you.
It would be helpful if there is an official answer. If G3 will be compatible with O3 or not. Not when, but at least if it will be one day.

He said it is not planned in their road map to make the goggles 3 compatible with the '03
I've got more than 12 of the 03 units and I was waiting for this. I guess not!!!!!!

c'est désolant d'entendre tout ça. Et excessivement énervant pour tousss. Les utilisateurs fpv sont bcp plus exigeant que les pilotes de drone classique. Mais comme dis plus haut, ça fait plus de 1 mois et demi. Je pense racheter un masque V2 d'occasion en attendant comme on est dans l'incertitude Total !!! Et puis ci on regarde de plus prêt c'est aberrant de faire une compatibilité avec un masque V2 et l'03 et pas le Googles 3 avec le 03. C'est presque ridicule. Rappelez vous à l'époque sans citer de marque (fatshark) prenais au final les clients pour des (débiles) qui annonçaient des révolution a chaque sortie alors qui avait qu'un minuscule changement. Au final ça c'est fini par THE END.

DJI ont les meilleurs ingénieurs et développeurs j'en suis sûr. ils savent le faire. mais il est clair qui ci l'intention est là niveau marketing de bloqué l'utiliseur c'est très très moyen. Bonne lecture

I wanted to start with FPV agen.. and I want to change to digital googles.. so I bought a avada 2 kit.. now there's no camera/FPV kits to buy at all for my Googles? Cadax and runcam don't work either?

DJI please consider making your drones backward compatible with new goggle releases. This current situation stops a lot of consumers from purchasing certain drones or models due to lack of compatibility. It does not make us want to spend more to carry more redundant gear. Every new goggle version is based on the previous design and enhanced so it shouldn't be an issue. Please don't nickel and dime consumers or you will lose them like gopro. This is why consumers moved  and are moving away from gopro. As the saying goes Pigs get fat hogs get slaughtered. Backward compatibility would garner more sells all around.

Ok, so the recent firmware update makes the Avata 2 compatible with older goggles. Thats good. But it puts the Goggles 3 in a really awkward position. It's the newest, yet it supports the least. It supports nothing but the few new O4 drones while the older stuff supports everything. This makes the Goggles 3 such a ... value tbh. Had I known this when I bought them I honestly wouldnt have bought them and gone with some other FPV solution. How does this get through to final product and sales like this? It's literally the least usable one.
