I think Jeven Dovey might have beaten him to it with his review unit.

He’s lucky to have it so early.

He probably would have had to request it,  I know Hendrik said he did.

But still it would be nice to use something that has never been touched by the public before. And it's even better if it's a DJI Avata 2.

I have never got a CareRefresh replacement from DJI, even though I have crashed a couple of times. Do you know how efficient the service is, just in case I need to get it one day?

I never bothered.
My theory is that I rather not spend money on insurance but on getting a new drone when I need it.

I'm not sure DJI does provide Care Refresh replacement for the Iphone 7...

Perhaps if you did buy a DJI product, then you can access the service, that it is quite good...

Perhaps you could start a YT channel and request the Avata Mini to test.

It's very good service! I got new one within 4-5 days (and before I sent old one back). I'm very satisfied.

I guess you will need to have minimum 25K subs to actually get a beta model.

That's good then. Which drone do you have?

That's interesting to hear.

Let's say I buy a Mini 3 Pro with FMC and RC on 1-1-2023 for € 1200,-
Then I buy DJI Care for € 129,- and after 1.5yr I experience a flyaway.
Then I have to pay another € 255 for a replacement (which is technically just a drone and a battery, since the remote and 2 other batteries are not replaced)
So I pay almost 75% of the price of the new drone (drone without anything is €659), which is an old drone by now and ready for replacement soon.
My theory is that I'd better save this € 400,- and put that into a bank account and get a new drone whenever I'm ready for it.
And since my life does not depend on having a drone, I can decide to wait a bit longer and live without a drone, since I already have saved € 400,- by not getting and using that 'insurance'.

I just got an answer: Well below 1% of channels actually hit the 25K milestone.

That's true. Do you think some of those famous YouTubers like MrBeast with 245M have bought subscribers?

They might be hard pushed to buy that many,   but I get offers all the time on social media offering to sell subs.

True. But you could still locate it's position before it hit the ground, right?

It's a regular thing for me especially on IG,    they will send you like a menu of subs and how much each costs and takes.

No idea - I never bought the Avata 1 and haven't crashed the Avata 2 yet. Though I have seen people crash the Avata 2 from tens of feet up and hit trees with no issues. So it also appears to be quite robust - unless you're a clown and fly it into concrete walls lol. I would much rather the streamline design of the 2 with it's increased flight time and quieter noise output amongst about 30 other upgrades.

What do you think will happen if you fly it into a concrete/stone/brick wall? Do you think the prop guards can take that scale of damage?

Kinetic energy grows exponentially with speed, so it really depends on how fast the wall stops you.

I'm talking 16/ms or 37mph. That kind of speed.

Depends on the angle in relation to the body of the drone, density of the concrete and, as fichek pointed out, the speed upon impact. To reach 37mph the drone would be flying at full speed in sport mode or if the Avata 1 (which can't reach that speed in sport mode) it would have to be in manual mode. The pitch angle would thus be more vertical to the wall exposing less protected areas of the drone upon impact.

At 37mph against solid concrete I can imagine both Avata's would need shipping back for repair or replacement.
