Unfortunately the goods trains don't seem to have a published timetable like the commuter trains do.

Nicely filmed Mr. B.   Lady luck was on your side.  

It seemed a few of the lead yellow cars were empty but most of the red cars had something in them.  Any idea what they might have been hauling.

Those trains haul back and forth from the limestone quarries at Buxton.
This one was headed towards the quarry.
I was surprised that all the trucks weren't empty.
I think the red stuff may be sand.

That is very common.
But if you happen to live nearby, you can usually find their paths because the usually are pretty predictable.

That one passed the signal box at around 09h55 this morning (Sunday)
But there's no guarantee that there will be one next Sunday at the same time.

No guarantees, but it's a good sign if you hear one regularly on a certain moment.

Oh dear,  I read that as a good train,  not a goods train. .   Still nice footage and the signal box is looking rather smart now.

I'd like to say I planned that shot, but the train just appeared as I was doing the POI setup.

Spot light would have been perfect for this,  simply draw a box over the signal box and then where ever your fly it will keep in the centre of the frame.

For that particular capture though, it would have lost focus on the train.

I think today is the day to tackle my last mess up,   ordered the wrong size wheel for the MIL wheel barrow,   so I now have to open the 25mm axle hole out to 30 or 35mm (which I need to double check again as that got me in this mess) or I have to make a new 25mm axle for it.   As I dont have any 30mm drill bits Im thinking new axle if I have some steel time in stock of the right diameter.
