What are the two bridges over the road for ? Looks like a dead end

Those two parallel bridges crossing the road, appear to lead nowhere?  Former access to the refuse tip which is becoming marshland?

It goes to the mall and to the south side of staten island. For the most part they are residential areas.

Under and over in all in the same shot,  nice.   

Nature divided and encroached upon. Great to still see quite a bit of it.

At first I thought it was a remnant of a former railroad.
But I could not find it on maps (more avenues with that name)

Nothing wrong with that at all.  Keeps my brain working to clear out the cobwebs or if nothing in memory then it's time to find out what it is on the internet.  Just another learning lesson.

Wow, that is quite a how KP index.  I didn't fly yesterday at all as was busy with the grandkids.  We went out on the jetskis and then took the ATVs for a ride around my property's perimeter road.  Today I have a reservation to take them horseback riding for a half day trek.  No doubt my butt will be sore tomorrow.

They said if it was clear you could see the Aurora Borealis in NY last night.

That is really unusual.  Normally they can only be seen in Iceland, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Russia, Canada and Alaska.  So NY got a nice treat then.
