The Goggles 3 will charge to 99% only, and charging still running. 100% is not possible to achieve. Solution?

Use them until they run down below 50%, then try charging them again.

Thank you for answer.  I discharged the goggles to 9% and charged them again.  The problem still persists.  I tried a different charger and cables.  I did factory reset the goggles and they also reinstalled the firmware.  No change.

My only other suggestion would be let them discharge completely until they power off, then charge them full.  If that doesn't reset the battery meter properly an exchange is your only bet.  Over the years I have had one or two DJI devices do something similar.  My Mavic 2 Pro RC never charges to 100%.  Usually 97% & charging stops.  Doesn't seem to affect the RC's total runtime.

When Goggles 3 starts, it uses a bit of battery. Even though the consumption is less than 1%, the battery indicator won't show 100% anymore but will read as 99% instead. You can rest assured that this is normal. Have a nice day.

Thank you for answer. I would understand that. But the problem is that the charging is still going on even after about 2 hours. I don't think it might be safe or good for the battery. If there was a final charge with 99%, I have no problem. But this way I don't know when the battery is fully charged, i.e. the 99%. The LEDs keep flashing as if the battery is almost charged, 4 LEDs in sequence.

After connecting to a charger that supplies only 5V, the Goggles were charged to 100% and charging was finished. Also successfully using a power bank at 9V. So I assume it fixed itself. Thank you for help.

I do have similar problem with different chargers. Int's indicating as 99% and continue charging
UPDATE: I tried to use charger with 5V out only - completed oon 100%

it has never reached 100% after coming out of the box.
It keeps charging for hours.

Just try with a normal USB Type A charger first. It can be your old phone charger that has only USB A output.
Your best bet would be to use the charging hub of the avata 2 batteries as it outputs only 5v @ 2Amps.. See if that fixes it.

DJI - same exact issue. The goggles 3 will only charge to 99% when high watt charger is used for fast charging. It also will continue to blink like it’s charging indefinitely. When low watt charger is used it charges slowly but will charge all the way to 100%.  Please advise.

I have exactly same issue... I wil probably send it back withing 14 days for replacement, lol it's dumb. Batteries and controller are charging normally

Yes same issue here too. Have been sat watching blinking lights for hours!

Same issue here. Keeps charging unless I unplug charger for a while and then try charging again. Its a very annoying bug because it just keeps showing as charging. It would be nice if we could know if this is a hardware error or a software error. Lithium Ion batteries should not show as charging forever in an endless cycle. What do we do about this DJI?

I just received my goggles 3, went to charge it after a few hours realized something was off. I have the same problem. It keeps blinking for hours and never fully charges.

Same issue. Brand new G3, charge at 99% and keeps going.
Tried both 5v and 9v out charger with new and high quality cables.

Any fixes yet?

It's not about the extra 1%

I'd like to know when the battery is fully charged.
If it is "full" at 99%, the charging indicator should turn off to... well, indicate that the device has finished charging.
