In the user manual it says that the Googles 3 can watch back 3d movies and panoramas,   I copied a 360 pano from my Mini 3 to the goggles SD card but it says unrecoignised.   what file formats are supported for Panos and 3d movies on the goggles?

I think that's just for panoramic videos (whatever those are ), not photos. From specs:

Having re read it I think you're right,   still doesnt explain what the formats are though sadly.   I wish they had some examples to download.

Ok, I did some testing and here's the deal:

You load any h.264/265 movie file onto your goggles SD card and open it from the album normally. From the upper menu you can then switch between 2D and 3D modes.

In 2D mode you can select fov of "normal" or "panorama", which just seems to stretch the movie beyond your goggle screen fov and then lets you move your head to look around and see all parts of video.

In 3D mode you select if video is side-by-side or over-under, if it's half or full width, and if the sides need to be flipped. I found a 3D movie and it actually looks pretty good, I might actually try watching some full feature films in 3D to see if there's any eye strain.

Just found this in the Goggles 3 manual too.

Actually the whole thing started as I mis read that you could view panos,  and I made the assumption that meant from the 360 panos.

There's a Stop motor button? Well! I never!............

There is also one on the RC motion 3 if you are using that. Thankfully you have the option to enable or disable it in advanced safety settings. If enabled pressing the orange button 4 times in quick succession will disarm the motors in mid flight and your Avata 2 will instantly fall to the ground and crash (irrespective of your flight mode). It should only be used in an emergency situation such as avoiding an unexpectedly low flying manned aircraft to prevent collision or if the drone suddenly starts flying away or flying erratically beyond your control.
Disabling it in the app prevents using it though as there is a chance of activating it accidentally. it's not something I've tested and I have no plans to either lol

I tested it and can confirm your description is spot,  falls straight to the ground.

I've switched it off and will just point straight down in full throttle sport mode in the very rare off chance something that needs an emergency motor cut off ever happens. It would just be my luck to press it 4 times by accident and face a £429 Avata 2 replacement and thats when drone only bundles even become available (though I've got the two-year care refresh plan with DJI so it's all good).

lol. This is the first drone in ages I bought care refresh for,   I suspect at some point I'll be progressing t flying through smaller and smaller opening.

Yeah, you're not gonna be doing anywhere near 60mph in a loop or matty flip or anything like that, and it's plastic ducts around props. I've survived much worse
