Thanks,    Since getting the Avata I jut realised Ive generated 110gb of video footage,   I should have bought the 256gb cards.

You're most welcome DA.  In the meantime just keep transfer off the data and reformatting the 128GB cards.  I have read where the Avata 2 can produce some really large files.  Is that because it is recording both the footage seen via the camera and the goggles also?

Ive got stuck in the rut lately,   mostly due to how may of the paths were unpassable.

Hopefully,   Monday were heading to the quarry and then onto some bluebell woods which were really good last year.  Tomorrow as yet to be decided.

With the limited flying time of the Avata 2 you'd think a 128GB card would be sufficient.  Guess you need to keep an eye on when the 256GB cards go on sale.

I could also turn off the auto record on take off but Im rather liking that feature.  More than I thought I would.

Since I have 256GB cards in my drones I usually start recording video at take-off and let it run until after I land.  You never know what you might catch at the spur of the moment so I just let it run and then view it later.

I know you've see quite a few birds close up with the M2P and the Mini 3 Pro but are you seeing that many with the Avata 2.  I mean it is so much faster you'd think it wouldn't interest the birds as much.

Ive had more bird runs ins with the avata this last 10 days than the Mini 3 all year.    But since I added red marks to the Mini 3 Ive not had any bird issues.  A couple have come close and left really quickly. I might be added red to the avata soon too.

That's really interesting.  I would have thought the birds would avoid the Avata 2 since it is so much faster as has a different noise to it.

Those oyster catchers can do 90mph so no contest really,  but I can go up much faster which is my get out of jail card.

That is one fact that I always keep in mind.  Birds can descend super quick but they can't ascend as quick so up control stick and plenty of throttle.

I can tell you that has saved me more than once.  Between my air horn and the owl kite it's rare I see a gull around my boat anymore but every time I go to the beach and fly they are everywhere and always wanting to check out the drones.

I found with the Avata 2 today that I was scaring the gulls away rather than them giving me grief.

Yesterday he did a good job without it,    we'll see how it goes today and maybe it can get a red go faster stripe.

I think with this drone the tides have turned,   it's now them running from the Avata,  had several run ins with them but they were the ones fleeing the scene.
