Nice footage Charles.   Interesting to see the work on the roof.

I just can't imagine the amount of shipments this building is being made for. On the top of the building there is a guy driving a tractor pulling some materials. He looks like a speck on this behemoth.

Interesting construction update.  Nicely flown and filmed.    I've got to say that is one Texas sized warehouse.  Now we just need a peek inside.

Righnow I am not even allowed to fly from the property. I fly it from a block away. I am taking my OSHA Certification because there is so much heavy machinery on site they don't want anyone but contractors there.

At least they are erring on the side of Safety.  I've been by a few construction sites and it's a good thing an OSHA Rep wasn't around or they would have been shut down and heavily fined.

Some of these larger companies are really by the book when it comes to safety. I realized that some of my practices were a little cavalier.I don't usually where a hard hat and construction boots on their sites.  I don't stay clear of many of their vehicles etc.

Doesn't take being fined more than once by OSHA as there fines can be quite high.  At the last corporation I worked at we had a Risk Management team that always emphasized the need for continued safety training.

The construction workspace can be dangerouse. about 5,000 construction workers die in the US every year.

Going through the OSHA rules I never realized how much I wasn't aware of on a construction site.

No doubt about that.  Takes two corporate lawyers to figure out all the details in their rules.

I am sure. There is lots there to protect workers from all kinds of injuries.

The problem is construction companies know OSHA inspectors can't be everywhere all the time so some take unnecessary risks or "shortcuts" to get things done quicker (but not safer).  Again, time is money and sometimes that becomes the driving factor.

And workers heel the macho drive that they have to get things done regardless of risk factor. I have seen it.

Yes, on a daily basis it seems.  A large majority of the construction workers I've noticed are immigrants from South America.
