Hi DJI and my fellow Ronin users,

Beause the plate clamp is so weak I need to tighen the screw with an allen key all the time for heavier camera builds.
Even when locked after some time during use plate slides few mm throwing gimbal off baalnce.
I am sure that is something that happens to everybody.

Base Plate Clamp Screw allen key socket is now worn out - check the photos.
Need Replacement Screw Urgently because of upcoming work!

M5x30 with a 7mm head that takes 3mm allen key - non standard screw head size.

I do not need the £120 base plate clamp assebly but only the screw, so if someone knows where I can buy one please help.
I am based in UK.

Thnx

Sasha

Hi,
A quick field fix is to put an elastic band over the Allen key and force it into the socket head, or cut a slot in the head to about half the head and use a flat blade screwdriver. you should use loctite 222 on the thread, tough enough to stop it releasing but flexible enough to undo many times.
If the new bolt head is slightly to big you can put the shaft in a drill chuck, spin it up and use a file to reduce the size untill it fits. Also put a small rubber O ring under the head or some self amalgamating tape to help it grip.
try these chaps.  http://www.westfieldfasteners.co ... jz9MCFbQy0wodQp0BhQ
