So is there any benefit to jam syncing with something like a Deity Microphones TC-1 Wireless Timecode Generator Box VS just using the mimo phone app to sync the timecode?
I tried the phone method and it seemed to work fine as long as you didn't wait a long time syncing between cams.

Not sure but it seems more accurate to jam sync with a timecode generator.  I use my RODE Wireless Pro to jam sync my 3 OSMO Action 4's.  The bigger issue is the serious timecode bug listed https://forum.dji.com/forum.php? ... D923%26typeid%3D923!

I think that bug is if you do loop recording or stop and start the recording a lot.
My use case is to record continuously while on the water then I don't miss any action because I forgot to stop the loop
