While flying my drone, a red warning came up saying 'Aircraft Disconnected'. The video was frozen on my Smart Controller and the image greyed out. Most telemetry data  was blanked out. Control input was normal. GPS was functional. After landing and changing batteries, I again flew the drone with all functions again normal. Can anyone please tell me what all can cause this warning message. This is the 2nd Mavic 2 Pro, Smart Controller combination with which I've had similar symptoms, although the first one didn't have the Aircraft Disconnected message. What exactly does Aircraft Disconnected mean?

Hi there. This issue is caused by a connection error between the aircraft and the remote controller. The main factors that affect image transmission are distance, signal transmitter power, attenuation, obstruction, and electromagnetic interference. Please check the notes below and see if it will help:
1. Check the aircraft image transmission distance in your country.
2. Check if the aircraft firmware, remote controller firmware, and app versions are the latest. If not, please update the firmware to the latest versions first.
3. Check the remote controller/goggles antenna position. Please place your remote controller antenna in the optimal position.
4. Keep note of tree and house obstructions near the flying field. After flying for a period, note the obstruction near the horizontal line to ensure that there are no visible obstructions in the aircraft's direction.
5. Check whether there is significant interference in the flight environment. Please turn on the Image Transmission Settings to check the real-time channel quality. If the interference is significant, we recommend changing the flight environment. Common electromagnetic interference sources include but are not limited to Wi-Fi hotspots, routers, Bluetooth devices, high-voltage power lines, high-voltage transmission stations, mobile phone base stations, and television broadcasting towers.

Thanks Tony. Would an overloaded flight controller do it as well?  I was on a nice grass playground 50' from my drone with no obstructions or electrical systems nearby.

Recieved a dji fpv drone as a gift. When ever tried to fly I got transmission errors. After endless hours of working with support they told me to send it back for repair( brand new!) which I did. Got it back and I got remote id error first. Talked with support and never got that fixed .registered with faa and tried it again and now it's rc signal lost( its 12" away from drone). This has been going on for two years and I still have never been able to fly this drone. I live in the blueridge mountain area and there is no one I can take it to to see if they might help. Now I have a brand new drone with hardcase and every accessorie they have that I wasted two years of my life trying to fly. Before you chalk this up to my lack of knowledge please know I have a pilots license and fly a 172 Cessna and 1946 Aeronca tail dragged. Also have flown other drones without having to screw around with any of this crap. Anyone have any idea ofwho I could ask to help get this thing to fly? DJI is useless
