Carrington Falls, Southern Highlands, NSW, Australia

These falls plunge 90 metres into a canyon that's less than 150 metres wide at the top, and much narrower down the bottom.  As I'm still a newbie on the Avata, flying into this ravine was more than a little nerve-wracking.

Nice job.  Looks like a cool location to fly.

Thanks.  Yeah, it's a great spot, but there's surprisingly little drone video out there.

You're a braver man than I Gunga Din! Like how you caught the water flowing up when flying in reverse. Comment from the wife watching with me, "Why is he flying so close to the walls?" "Maybe he has plenty of money and doesn't care about losing the odd one or two."

Absolutely stunning location and you got some really nice shots in there. I'm not a fan of those few reversed clips where you can see the water flowing wrong way But overall very nice and I think you can give yourself some credit and stop calling yourself a newbie

Well, I figure the Avata's made for this kind of stuff.  Whether I'm made for it is another matter...

And yes, a freak of nature captured, it just so happens, as I was flying in reverse. :-)

Thanks for the compliments and the sub.  My mother's not a fan of waterfalls flowing the wrong way, either.  She tells me every time she sees it in one of my videos.  :-)
'Exploration videos':  I like that description.  It suits a lot of what I do with this drone.  I fly a P4 as well - for the past seven years or so.  I've flown the P4 in Atti mode on a number of occasions, which is probably why I've held off going 'Manual' on the Avata... I'll get there.

What a stunning location.  That was some great flying.

You're very welcome.  It does appear to be a little slice of paradise.  I've read several comments about the camera being the weak point of the Avata.

The camera is certainly a step down from my P4.  That said, it's the wide angle that makes hilly terrain less impressive - it seems to compress the contours.
