Just tried after not having a battery installed in my Avata 2 for about 31 hours. Powered on the aircraft, goggles and controller, armed the motors to start recording (had 0 sattelites on Avata and probably none on Goggles either as I'm an apartment building, far from a window and far enough from last used location) so I doubt it picked the time up from GPS, but it did record correct time down to a second. I'm guessing even if Avata 2 doesn't have a small RTC battery in it, Goggles will keep RTC since they have a built-in battery and they are likely supposed to sync that clock to aircraft on every connection, but it doesn't always work (which is why DJI reps constantly suggest connecting to DJI Fly, I guess that's supposed to force the sync, but obviously doesn't work for people who have this issue). Lots of guessing here, I'm just trying to think out loud in hopes that it will help someone with debugging. I'm happy it seems to work as intended for me. |
