I wonder if in some update, the DJI staff will allow us, users of the Mini4pro with C0 marking, to keep the LED lights on at all times, without them turning off by pressing the video recording button.

With this, in addition to making flights safer, since the visibility of the aircraft is increased, we could legally carry out night flights in the EU.

I don't understand why if they have put it with the C1, they have not also put it with the C0, or at least, have put the option for it, as if they have the LEDs on the front arms of the Air.

Are you sure @DJI Tony?
Does DJI really take the issue seriously?

I will now officially report to the European authorities that a DJI product no longer meets the declared conformity at night AND that DJI has knowingly ignored this problem for many months.
Please feel free to share this with the responsible DJI CE coordinator for Europe.

Are you sure @DJI Tony?

Just read this thread and linked one.Since M4P disables greenlight mid flight - it is breaking rules of C0 certification. Does that mean that if You bought it after 01.01.2024 You can legally return it and request full reimbursement as the drone is not fulfilling C0 requirement as advertised at the moment of buying?

The blinking light does not turn off during the flight. The green light only stops while recording a video. This means that legally, you currently cannot record videos at night.

Unfortunately, in the C0 certification, the UAS is not required to have lights, which is the case with the C1 certification and therefore, DJI only corrected it for the C1.
Another issue is on night flights, where it is mandatory to have it and where if we want to do them without exceeding 250 gr (for other legal reasons) we cannot put any external light.

Of course. It's what I have put.
It is the issue of being able to legally record videos at night, which could be easily solved if DJI always kept the LEDs on the rear legs of the mini4pro on.
Another solution would be for them to put a switch in the DJI Fly app, to control whether or not these lights on the rear legs of the mini4pro are turned off, as they already do for the lights on the front legs of the Air (Air2S, Air3, ...)

I agree with you. DJI should at least offer a solution and leave it up to the pilot to decide whether to turn on or off the blinking light during night video recording. Technically, this should be very easy to program.

With my previous statement, I merely wanted to clarify that the current situation does not constitute a reason for a complaint under the legal warranty and certainly does not justify the withdrawal of the C0 classification.

In today's era of emphasis on sustainability and environmental conservation, bio-based materials have emerged as a major trend in the design field. By delving into the endless possibilities of bio-based materials, we have fused biotechnology with design to create a distinctive lamp frame.

Crafted from bio-based materials, this lamp frame not only astounds with its unique aesthetics but also boasts environmental friendliness. Compared to traditional materials, the production process of bio-based materials is more eco-friendly, reducing pollution to the environment. Furthermore, bio-based materials possess excellent biodegradability, aiding in mitigating the negative impact of waste on the environment.

Our lamp frame design aims to showcase the beauty and functionality of bio-based materials. Combining bio-fibers with renewable resources, we have crafted a lightweight yet sturdy frame structure that not only exhibits outstanding load-bearing capabilities but also presents unique textures and colors, infusing spaces with a natural ambiance.

By opting for bio-based materials, we are not merely designing a lamp frame but advocating for a new way of life, integrating environmental consciousness into every aspect of daily living. Let us join hands and strive together to explore the marvelous world of biotechnology and design, contributing our efforts to sustainable development.

That's very interesting,
then I also assume that the bio-based lamp frame weighs less than 300mg so that the C0 label is not violated?

The response will be, "You are correct sir, so operating the Mini 4 Pro at night while recording video is prohibited."

I do not understand how having the LEDs illuminate would render the drone compliant as they are not visible from 360° all around the drone?  You can only see them when the drone faces away from you.  Are you going to fly home in reverse?

EASA Easy Access Rules stated:
UAS.OPEN.060 Responsibilities of the remote pilot
(2) During the flight, the remote pilot shall:
(g) when operating at night, ensure that a green flashing light on the unmanned aircraft is activated.

The green light should be directed towards the pilot.
No need for 360° display

I cannot speak to the regulations in Germany.  Here in the USA the built-in status lights do not qualify for night operations as they must be visible from a minimum of 3 miles.
