I have no idea what this was shot on, but the drone held up very well given the circumstances, and the footage is pretty incredible.

Astonishing footage. Nice find, N.O.T. Thank Heavens we don't get such violent conditions here.

That's an amazing video and has to be the best footage of a multiple vortex structure ever recorded.  Nice find and thanks for sharing N.O.T.

Yeah, there's something almost beautiful about the lines of the moisture rushing accross the landcsape INTO the vortex/vortices as well.

Horrifying but mesmerising.

I searched the comments for a while to see if I could spot what kind of drone it was shot on, but couldn't see any mention. Hardy drone and brave pilot IMHO.

It's certainly the most impressive tornado footage I've ever seen - capturing the movement, ferocity, destruction, structure and beauty... I just had to share the find!

Tornado Alley traditionally refers to the corridor-shaped region in the Midwestern United States where tornadoes typically occur.  The states most commonly included are Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, Indiana, Ohio, Missouri, Iowa, and South Dakota.  According to NOAA statistics Iowa averages 46 tornadoes a year.

So I'm guessing Reed Timmer and Team Dominator stay busy capturing tornado footage.

I've seen a number of documentaries on 'storm chasers' in that area but usually in armoured pimped up staion waggons or vans, leaping out with camcorders while a Rick Moranis type sits in the back of the vehicle staring at instruments like the Lone Gunmen...

I didn't expect to see someone chasing a tornado so close with a drone and the drone surviving.

I was half expecting the footage to witch to somewhere in Oz with some orbit shots of the Emerald Castle and a tracking shot of a little girl skipping down a yellow brick road with three old fellas!

No doubt this team put it all on the line.  It would be interesting to know which drone was able to survive those conditions.

Him and his team do have a crazy storm chasing vehicle.

Maybe DJI refused sponsorship so they figured they wouldn't give free promotion?
Just a guess, not based on anything.

Yeah me too. Always looking for the green "Good to fly" box on the drone weather apps... Whereas these guys are looking for the storm warnings!
