i was wondering if anyone could help me out , I have upgraded my Inspire to the latest firmware 1.4.0.10 with no problems .
on the DJI site is says the RC doesnt need upgrading , but when you connect craft and the RC now the DJI app says the RC needs new firmware . I have contacted DJI support and they didnt give me any type of clear answer !!
1.4 has no remote update, if older than 1.3 currently installed you need to update remote to 1.3, if currently on 1.3 you only need to update the aircraft to 1.4
If I would just read.. On DJI's web site it states this in RED -
The All-in-One firmware v1.4.0.10 does not include remote controller update package. However, for the best user experience, it is recommended that the users who are using the firmware that older than v1.3.0.00 to update the firmware to v1.3.0.00 before updating the aircraft.
i have read the instructions very clearly , my RC has version 1.3 installed and yet now when i connect the DJI app still shows the notice to upgrade the RC on the menu . this is why I was confused .

apologies,, your initial post doesnt say that the RC is already updated to 1.3. Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app? I think ive seen a similar problem in another thread, ill see if i can find it again and if there was a solution.
I am going to delete the app and see if that helps
sorry i was unable to find the thread. Hopefully its just a problem with the app and reinstalling it fixes it if youre 100% certain the RC is updated to 1.3 correctly and still showing this msg, otherwise the only thing i could suggest is try to downgrade to 1.2 and then upgrade to 1.3 again, though im not 100% sure if the RC will downgrade or if its only for the aircraft.
Go to you about in your pilot app, the one on your flying screen in the
Upper right hand corner with the 3 little lines and scroll down to about.
This will tell you what version of the firmware you have on your
Controller and if your Inspire is hooker up and running then it will
Also tell you what version you have installed on it. You can then go from there
As far as updating goes.
Thanks for your help . I deleted and then reinstalled the app and this seemed to clear it all up . Looking forward for it to stop raining so I can get out flying now .
