I am flying with Mini 4 Pro. This  summer I am planning to go to Finland and thinking of taking a drone with  me and I am trying to gather information about flying in FI in 2024 (a  lot of posts on this forum are pre 2024, and 01.01.2024 where a date  there new laws was introduced for drones).


I  know about the registration of Pilot and Operator.I live in an EU member state  (I have EU operator ID), and I've checked that general EASA rules apply  (so my registration as an operator is valid in FI).

I  know that a lot of EU countries introduce some way of 'check-in' that  must be performed before each flight (You have to notify authorities  where You will be flying, at what altitude etc), usually by some sort of  mobile app.


Does FI also require such 'check-in' before each flight ?

Unfortunately, I don't own a drone myself currently, so not sure if I know all the regulations, rules and requirements myself. However, I found a website hosted by the Finnish Transport and Communications Agency Traficom that talks about these rules and regulations, and also provides contact information to them for inquiries and questions.
