No problems at all after updating the firmware yesterday to the latest version on goggles 3 and the Avata 2 via the fly app. I completed four successful back-to-back flights and I do believe the O4 transmission in CE has significantly improved (despite not being in the release notes).

This footage was taken today starting with a practice split-s in full manual recorded in 4K/100 in quite a heavy wind followed by some chilled proximity flying in the woodlands using the motion controller 3 as a nice change to just relax and explore with the Avata 2.

Looks like you are having a lot of fun with the A2. Close call on that little branch. My A1 hit many of those little branches and kept on flying without issue but there is always a chance it could damage the camera lens or gimbal. You have a great location there to fly. Big open space with grass to practice manual flight and also trees to buzz around.

Many thanks! Hit the reverse just in time on that one! lol And yeah, I love flying this drone - using both controllers also feels like having two different quads as it flies so differently with each. I have done all of my full manual practice here so far as an ideal environment to learn.

Really nice flying and I loved that split-s near the start of the video.    Pretty close call on that one tree branch.  Looked like a nice day to be out FPV flying.

Good to hear the latest FW updates didn't introduce any bugs.

Just updated mine this morning,   hoping that the suggestion that 4k100 also supports the lowest latency with this update.

I was thankfully using the MC3 so quickly pushed the accelerator up to put the drone into reverse - that was too close!
Pleased the FW had no bugs and seems to have improved the signal.

Thanks Yogi - they just come at you even at slow speed lol The signal behind that hedge remained perfect for the first time too after doing the FW update - no hacks either.

I was testing out 1080 100fps as that was supposed to have the best latency but I wasnt sure if I could tell the difference between the best and worse.

Low-Latency Mode 1080p/100fps: 24ms
High-Quality Mode 1080p/60fps: 40 ms

That is some serious close quarters flying. See how he pre-empts the line the drone is flying and makes such controlled micro adjustments in split second decisions - it is a great skill to learn.

I wonder how many hours of practice he's had.

I've done 220KM in 484 minutes flying the Avata 2 with 36 full batteries and over 40 flights in different locations and weather conditions in six weeks. Half of that in full manual mode. I've spent about 7 hours on the CurryKitten sim and I've never crashed. I'm now at the stage where I'm doing open space split-s turns, dives, 360 spins/rolls/flips and even the odd higher altitude power loop while doing combined and non combined directional turns at lower altitude. I'm also able to take off in full manual and control my speed and altitude fairly effectively in addition to the drones direction even when hitting over 60mph.

So based on that self analysis I would say he is either an exceptional FPV pilot with a natural talent in this field who has picked up those skills with daily practice over a few months or he's been flying for years. It's advanced FPV racing freestyle and a level I do not expect to ever reach. I'll be happy with intermediate long distance FPV mountain diving and some open space acro and I'm getting there.

Behind that bush line in this video it was also pixilated and I would get amber and even red bars as soon as the Avata 2 went below that tree line. The signal remained as solid as a rock yesterday. Most definitely improved.

You've got to love the flexibility of the MC3 but no doubt need the RC3 for Manual mode flying.

Good to hear the signal strength is better and that is even with using CE vice FCC standards.

I reckon thats years of practice.    Ive got over 400km on the two Avatas now,  1/3 of that in manual. but with the guard rails on and no special moves like you yet and I'm still concentrating on basic control so that I can go low and around objects.   Since the update this morning,   I and finding manual harder to fly now,   and funnily enough Alex mentioned the same.

Shooting gaps in manual is on my to do list. I didn't notice anything too different yesterday other than the wind pushing it more

Mine was much more squirmy than usual.   And we had less wind than yesterday,    Also the signal was not as good as it was this morning,   but that could just be weather,   only time will tell on that.

Hence the need to have both controllers in the bag.  At least while out flying you can always rip first and then slow down a bit and relax in a later flight.
