After several weeks of trainning I finally used today my P3A for real work. I was nervous but excited.

Unfortunately here are some issues I encounter.
1. After the 1.04 Firmware Upgrade last Tuesday the Camera is not Level any more. I tried multiple IMU Calibrations and also Gimbal Autocalibration but no success. I believe when camera is facing downward is neither 90 degrees so this give problems with flat shots for maps.
2. The Guides feature on the Go App has potential but is almost useless since the eraser doesn't work and there is no way to save the drawings & notes which is needed to plan flights. When the App closes the Guides are gone and my time is wasted. [Anger]
3. The Go App crashed once in the middle of todays Waypoint Recording session so I had to reopen the App and restart recording a New Waypoint session but battery went too low so had to land. [Frustrated]
4. There is no way to save externally the Waypoints recorded, what would happen after an App upgrade?, or are those stored on DJI's cloud?

Happy so far with my P3A but the DJI Go still need more polish for serious work.
I don't know what is going to happen when DJI start selling the Inspire X5R $8,000.
The Go App is unaceptable for Professional use at this point and still there is no proper user Manual.

What work are you trying to do?  I am curious because I want to maybe add some aerial photography services to the company I work for.

The Go App is also for a $8000 tool. The Inspire X5.
It really needs polish unless DJI is expecting customers to rely on Third Party Apps for serious work.
For a company the size of DJI though the User Manual should have been ready by the time of the Firmware release and some issues with the Go App still remain from older versions.
Like I said, love the P3 but the software disapoints despite the cool features.

I was thinking the same thing for civil and land development things.  google earth is only so good where if I can fly it my self might get a little better perspective.

It doesn't matter how much it cost. This should work if they selling it.
