I only had one case of a security guard giving me a hard time, and all he did was write down my license plate.

I only fly in the early mornings or in places that are not heavily populated. Also, i have gotten pretty ninja when it comes to flying. Also, i try not to over stay my welcome when at a location, i generally know exactly the shot i want and when i get it, i pack up and move on. Be quick and smart. Also, if something looks at all shady or there are lots of people and it might be dangerous, don't fly. Come back another day and try again. Be safe.

This is really one of the best I have ever viewed. You have an eye many of us would die for!! Great job and send more ..

And those locations are TO DIE FOR and you got the very best out of every one!   

I usually skip through reels but I wasn't about to miss 1 second of yours, top shelf work!

I generally will ask the security guard if there is one around before flying, 99% of the time they say yes or dont care.  Once at the Cannery Casino in vegas I wanted to get some night shots of their building which was all lit up in changing colors and pretty cool looking they told me to come back a different time when it was less busy as they were worried about a possible crash/damage to cars since the parking lot was packed full and slightly windy.  Ive had many security guards show up after i was already in the air and just ride by on their route ignoring me or sometimes stopping to ask about it cause they think its pretty cool or have one themselves.  Only one time did i ever get kicked out of a place for flying, at the luxor in vegas.  was on top of their parking garage for good line of sight for safe flying and they showed up and asked me to leave.  Next time ill do it from the other side of the freeway, theyll never find me then, haha!

pretty cool video btw, i recognize quite a few of those spots from playing the video game GTA 5, amazing how detailed and accurate they are, lol!

So funny you bring up GTA5...i thought that a lot when i was shooting. GTA did a pretty great job.

BTW, the one security guard that took my lic plate number came by after i was in the air as well. He didn't say anything, just took plate number and left. I was done anyway (i try not to hang out in a spot for more then a few minutes at a time) so i packed up and left.

Most people just want to know more about...my favorite comment when flying was "Did you get that at Brookstone?"

yea they took my plate at the luxor too, but theres nothing they can do except ask you to leave, unless you crash and cause property damage or something, just flying around is not illegal, yet anyway.  If they kick you off the property once and you come back and do it again then maybe they can get you for trespassing.

Yeah, I was filming the mission in Carmel CA and as I was packing up someone came out and said no drones.   Stressed me out a bit at the time as I don't like being disruptive or annoying to others, but you're right, we aren't breaking the law yet and as long as we're polite we can all get along.

This is great! Now I have some more options of places and times to go shoot. I usually stay near where I live in Long Beach, but going early has been the best way to get great shots.
