As we know to take a photo you need to stop video recording, switch to photo, take photo and start recording back.

Taking a photo while recording would be awesome. Recording could pause/stop for that moment for me, but sometimes i need take a photo 'right now', without time for switching.

You can do that with a Gopro, that would be awesome if we could do that also with our DJI Phantom 3 cameras!

Hope the DJI developpers or someone in charge of the future of the application read the forum sometimes

You can always grab a frame from the video, if you miss that picture opportunity. 4K turns out with a pretty good picture.

Hi, the current design is based on the camera working mode, taking photo when the camera is recording is conflict with the working logic of the camera. You can try to grab a frame from the video like tapboxer suggested. But I will report your need to the engineers.Thanks for your suggestion.
