I was curious if you can fly any drone inside but feared that GPS would be a problem so I taped a very thin copper sheet on top of my mini pro 4 (keep sensors and cooling free) which shields GPS but found that the airflow from the drone is rather strong and bounces of all sorts of things, doors, furniture and open windows pushing the drone in unpredictable ways. This makes it very hard to fly indoors with a larger drone.  My tip smaller ones are the way to go indoors.

I think it depends on your skill level,   Ive flown Mavic 2 Pro and Mini drones in doors without issues,  although sometimes it does show up how dusty a house can be.

I tried a couple of times, but it's scary with a regular drone.

Im flying mine around the house on a regular basis,   SWMBOd has finally realised that shouting at it is pointless. .   Stairs for me was a new one with indoor flight,  never tried that before with the other drones.

With the Avata : yes (props are guarded) but with my regular drone : not likely that I will do that again.

I was doing interior 360 panos with it at the time.  But also testing replacement drones.

Yeah, that does make sense.

They have been coming out a lot better since I started using pano studio though,  I may have to revisit the interior ones again.

No,  you need  goggles 2 and controller 2 to fly the avata.

Good advice. Let the drone do the work.

During low light conditions like the video, would adding small light on the bottom and sides of the drone help with it not decending or fading left to right in flight?

Can the avatar be flown using iPad or iPhone as the goggle view and leave goggles until I can affords them

No,   the goggles transmit to the drone so without them you cannot fly it,    unlike other drones these controllers are bluetooth connected to the goggles not to the drone.
