Will the Goggles 3 ever work with the FPV Controller 2? I really liked the goggles 3, but I didn't like flying with the controller 3. I would really like it if it was possible to use the controller 2 again. Is there a possibility that they will be compatible someday?

I do not understand your complaint?  The FPV Controller 3 feels & handles virtually identically to the FPV Controller 2, with the only notable difference being reduced weight & the lack of an external antenna.  What is it that you dislike about the FPVC3?

I prefer the heavier control, as the grip is firmer and safer while flying. the lighter control bothers me and I feel like it's a toy. Furthermore, the sticks on controller 3 are harder, as if they were stuck/jammed, which interferes with my piloting in manual mode. The sticks on controller 2 were very fluid.

Given that they use different transmission systems I would say that is highly unlikely - from a business perspective I can not see DJI cannibalising their own products too. That said, the Avata 2 now works with with FPVRC2 so never say never but whether goggles 3 will is another thing.

I find using a lanyard helps

Hi there,
thank you for reaching out.

Kindly be advised when flying the DJI Avata 2 with DJI Goggles 3, it only supports DJI RC Motion 3 and DJI FPV Remote Controller 3.

We currently do not have information yet about the said compatibility.
Please stay tuned to our official website for updates.

Should you have any other questions, kindly message us for an assistance. Thank you!

I understand where you are coming from on the weight.  Housing only a single battery the FPVC3 is extremely light.  The version 2 feels much more substantial.   As DA suggested your could increase the mass by inserting a second 18650 cell into the empty slot in the left grip.  You could even get fancy & wire it up in parallel for 20 hours of flight time between charges!  I have not noticed a difference in the sticks, though it is true the v3 sticks are slightly longer.  They are interchangeable.  As AJ suggested a Lanyard also helps.

Started flying RC with a Futaba , then Taranis, and today the  Spektrum and RadioMaster Tx  that felt substantial and "look" like "real" Tx.  FPV RC3 looks and feels like the toy Tx used to fly my LOS 1s brushed motor indoors toys.  But I realized it is very functional in terms of purpose and low weight.  Not having a noticeable weight dangling from the lanyard is a big plus.  No real need for a lanyard, but I'm a klutz and would probably eventually drop it.  Especially now that the weather has cooled down and it's nose dribble season.  Another plus for DJI Brake and Hold feature. Engage and pull out the hankie.

Hi there,
thank you for reaching out.

For DJI Avata 2, when used with DJI Goggles 3, it is only compatible with the DJI RC Motion 3 and DJI FPV Remote Controller 3. We will consider this feedback as a request and forward it to the relevant team for consideration. We appreciate your support and kind understanding.
