Great capture Charles.    I've seen that same Rutan 61 Long-EZ plane at the Lakeland FL Airport.

Here's a bit about the plane.  

The Rutan Model 61 Long-EZ is a tandem 2-seater homebuilt aircraft designed by Burt Rutan's Rutan Aircraft Factory. The Long-EZ has a canard layout, a swept wing with wingtip rudders, and a pusher engine and propeller. The tricycle landing gear has fixed main wheels with streamlined spats and a retractable nosewheel.

PS, we had a spontaneous visit to a place close by the sea yesterday where my BIL's parents have a house, but that is for sale now. So this was the last opportunity for us.

Despite the sun in front of you it still turned out great.  Besides, it's not like you can move around much for advantage points at air shows either. Every one I've been to has been packed with people.

I saw that same plane in April at the Lakeland Fun in the Sun Airshow and it was never parked with the nose wheel down.  So I really have no idea why it was that way in the picture that Charles captured.

Maybe the wheel failed and it fell over.

It could have.  The front wheel is hydraulically actuated and can be locked in position so I have no idea why he had it down in that particular instance.  .

I have never seen a plane like that, looks really cool! *hearing it passing by already*
