Hola everybody.

I have seen here on the forum that DJI is working on making the air unit O3 compatible with the goggles 3. This is great and I am exited to upgrade my avata 2 to a full 5inch drone. For this, I want to keep the goggles 3 and FPV remote 3, but it is unclear if the remote will also be compatible.

Will DJI make the Goggles 3 work for image, but still require the FPV remote 2 for control, or will the Remote 3 be compatible as well??

I need this info to decide whether to go for the Air unit O3 now or wait for the air unit O4.

I think you can be pretty sure that if the Goggles 3 work the RC 3 will work as well.  You might consider getting another control link like ExpressLRS so you don't have to worry about getting a new RC each time DJI releases a new product. When the O4 arrives and if and when the O3 is supported by the Goggles 3 is everyone's guess.

Hello everyone ! I'm sorry to write in the conv, but I don't seem to be able to create a a post on the main channel...

I have had the Avata 2 for 2 months, it worked perfectly, but since last week the RC3 and the motion controller don't connect anymore to the goggles and drone. I've tried everything, holding the buttons for 4s, updating the firmware on the DJI Fly App and DJI Assistant 2, as well as factory resetting the goggles.

Everything works perfectly, but I can't fly the drone becauste the controllers don't connect. I really need help !

Thanks in advance

I really want to stick with the RC3 Remote since I really like the form factor and functions. Also, I have it already, so I prefer to use it.

Last, do you have any updates on when the O3 will be supported?? I expected it in the last update tbh.

No, it's everyone's guess - I have no insider knowledge at all.
But personally I'm looking forward to the O4 to put into a new quad...

I'll send back my O3 parts. It's ridiculous that the new system is not backwards compatible, and DJI is not communicating any plans.

Unfortunately I thought it was obvious that the Dji Google 3 was compatible with the Dji O3 air unit but now realize that it is not, bought an iFlight Chrimera 7 pro v2 TBS with the O3 Air unit and now understand that it will not work... of course it's my responsibility to check that. However, it felt totally unnecessary to do so in this case, but no.

As so many others write here, it would be good to speed up the process to get out an update that fixes the compatibility between Dji Google 3, the alternative is to send everything back and that would be boring.

Already buy one, but it can't fly as long as there's no support for O3 system. Please DJI and anyone any news about this? Famous YouTubers speculation around 2-6 months to work on,,, that's is very boring.

Just adding to the pile of people who now will be returning an o3 air unit because of lack of firmware updates on the goggles 3 to make it compatible so will get my money back and they get to restock and consider the losses, is the only real way to get through to businesses unfortunately.

I just cant wrap my head around why they wouldnt just say if they are working on it or not, its not that hard i havent been in the DJI ecosystem for that long since i had the avata 2 for about a month now and i love it but just the fact that i cant be sure whether i would be able to upgrade to a 5 inch in the near future really bums me out minus point DJI
