After crash do you always have to send Phantom or did anyone just sent flight log and based on that, service decided if it was your fault or aircraft so you can send it for free repair ?

I spoke to service via chat and sent them log files concerning a difficulty I was having with the VPS - they confirmed it was a fault in the module - then I sent the P3 off for repair and the whole process took just 8 days.
